Our history

The meeting point for innovative entrepreneurs in Cagliari for 15 years.

Founded in 2009 in Cagliari, The Net Value—a coworking space and the first certified incubator for innovative startups in Sardinia—is the point of reference for innovative entrepreneurs who wish to develop business ideas and projects in the digital and technological sector, transforming them into successful companies.

At the beginning of its activity, the company positioned itself as a digital media nursery: a place for aspiring entrepreneurs and startuppers who, while taking their first steps in the world of digital entrepreneurship, required not only workspaces to launch their business, but also step-by-step guidance and support from an expert team with proven experience.

Soon, the incubator becomes a symbol of the digital economy in Cagliari, and the original office on Via Sassari becomes the meeting point for digital businesses in the area. The community that inhabits it expands: there are freelancers, agencies, startups, and small and large companies that have established their roots in Cagliari, many of which have international potential.

The incubator collaborates closely with organizations, institutions, universities, and other players in the local and national entrepreneurial ecosystem, promoting major events on digital culture, technology, and art. Furthermore, in 2019, TNV Academy was launched, the forge of digital talent, with the aim of training professionals in line with the ever-evolving needs of the job market and facilitating entry into the professional world, especially locally.

After 10 years of activity, The Net Value relocates, establishing itself in Viale La Plaia, and decides to identify as an “innovator’s community,” the community of innovators. The relocation marked an important evolutionary step: with its new identity, the incubator aims to create an even more inclusive and open environment in which innovative entrepreneurs, side by side, can exchange ideas and experiences to connect with each other both personally and professionally.

The Net Value’s strategy has a distinctly local focus that concentrates on attracting and developing talent, encouraging relationships among entrepreneurs to stimulate digital innovation. The goal is to create a network of exchange and collaboration in the Sardinian capital, where ideas take shape, skills are valued, and opportunities are shared and accessible to all.

The Net Value has always been committed to the development of local businesses, without aspiring to expand into other areas. This approach allows for an in-depth understanding of territorial dynamics and challenges, transforming them into opportunities to maximize the potential of the Island.

By focusing on building solid and lasting partnerships, the incubator aims not only to create new businesses, but also to consolidate and grow existing ones, to eradicate the widespread idea that to “do” entrepreneurship one must necessarily go overseas. Even in Cagliari, with “tailored” entrepreneurial education, aspiring entrepreneurs can give shape to their innovative ideas, actively participating in the growth and development of a local digital entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Projects

La via delle startup

The Net Value created the school-based entrepreneurial training program “La Via delle Startup”: an online course in which teams of students are guided to solve the market challenges faced daily by the innovative startups within The Net Value business incubator.

The objective of the project is to enhance and strengthen the economic culture of students through an experimental school-to-work initiative that introduces a model of cooperation between the project participants and the economic operators involved—namely, between the students and the companies hosted at The Net Value.

The project involved 6 teams, each consisting of 6 students from 4 different secondary schools in Sardinia.
