“I’ll be your mirror, reflect what you are, in case you don’t know.” — Lou Reed
Photography freezes time, transforming it into memory. The mirror, on the other hand, exists only in the present, returning images in constant flux. It is from this tension that Cristian Castelnuovo's artistic project emerges: a dialogue between image and reflection, between what has been and what continues to change.
Through portraiture, the artist creates a space for exploration and dialogue, in which faces become instruments for reading and interpreting contemporary society. The exhibition presents a selection of photographs taken over twenty-five years of his career, a visual journey in which identity, perception, and representation intertwine.
As in a Borgesian mirror, the viewer is invited to confront their own double, entering into a subtle interplay between reality and illusion.
Hosted in the spaces of The Net Value, the exhibition is set within a dynamic and innovative context, creating a meeting point between art, culture, and territory.
