Artificial intelligence is already transforming the way we work and develop software, but integration with quantum computing opens an even more ambitious scenario. Quantum AI represents a new phase of innovation, where machine learning algorithms and quantum technologies collaborate to accelerate optimization processes and tackle problems that are currently extremely complex from a computational standpoint.
But what are the real-world applications of this technology? Which problems can already benefit from hybrid HPC-quantum approaches? And what skills will businesses, developers, and decision-makers need in the coming years to prepare for this transformation?
During the talk, we will start with the fundamental concepts of quantum computing, accessible even to those without a technical background, and then analyze concrete cases in the fields of smart mobility, energy, and logistics. We will realistically address the current opportunities and limitations of the NISQ era, offering a strategic vision free of hype and focused on concrete impact.
At the end of the meeting, a live demonstration of solutions developed at CRS4 as part of the Cagliari Digital Lab project will show how quantum computing is already being applied to real-world smart city problems, with particular reference to urban mobility optimization.
This talk is open to everyone: from entrepreneurs and decision-makers who want to understand the strategic impact of Quantum AI in their sectors; to developers and technology professionals interested in HPC-quantum integrations; to students and the curious who wish to find their bearings in one of the most significant evolutions of the contemporary technological landscape.
